Pre-K - 4th grade

Violin and Viola Instructors: Clara Engen and Micaela Murphy

Fee:

$985 for 1st time registrants

$960 for continuing students

$370 for the supplemental package (for current students of Mrs. Engen and Ms. Murphy only)

Fees do not include the cost of instrument rental.

Program Summary:

• This 16-week program is for Violin and Viola students ages 4 to 10. All levels from beginning through advanced are accepted. Note: Students as young as 3 may be accepted; families should request a phone consultation with LSS faculty to determine their child's readiness for the program.

• Students are required to have an adult practice partner (parent or guardian) who can attend classes and lessons, take notes, and coach daily practice at home.

Lakewood Suzuki Strings’s trained teachers utilize the highly respected Suzuki Method of music education, built on the philosophy that children can learn to play an instrument the same way that they learn language: through listening, imitation, and repetition in a nurturing environment.

The Lakewood Suzuki Strings program offers:

• Weekly 30-minute Private Lessons 

• Weekly 45-minute Group Classes

• Monthly Parent Education Classes

• Two Recitals and other fun performance opportunities

Dates: January 30-May 27 2023

Weekly lesson times are decided upon between parent & teacher.

Weekly group classes:

Wednesdays 6-6:45pm for continuing students

Fridays 4:30-5:15pm for beginner students

Parent classes: Once monthly during group class

Recitals: Dates TBD
